At Best Decks MT, we're committed to being the best wood deck choice for homeowners living in or around Montana's beautiful Gallatin Valley.
· You get our FULL attention. We build one deck at a time from start to finish.
· You will always know where we are working. We SHOW UP every business day or let you know if we won't be there.
· You will know what's going on with your project. We check-in and update you regularly on our progress. We give opportunity to discuss logistics as the project progresses.

Our construction experience comes from an environment with heavy code/inspection requirements where building to the highest standards was a minimum requirement - we value that level of integrity and we bring it to every project we do.

Scott Montgomery, Owner and Builder, 25 years of experience in residential construction
Before Best Decks MT, Scott was a licensed general contractor and sole proprietor in California and spent 15 of those years doing kitchen and bathroom remodels, handyman projects, decks, additions, custom furniture, cabinetry, fencing, gates, and other high-end home renovations requiring extensive expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC and rough and finish carpentry.
In 2019, He started Willow Creek Construction and Remodeling out of Willow Creek, Montana doing similar residential remodel work with specialty projects like building a custom sauna.
In 2022, he created Best Decks MT to develop a specialty that honed his passions, working outdoors and rough & finish carpentry (in the form of decks and other outdoor living projects).
Scott hopes this business will teach his kids the value of discipline, commitment and learning. He hopes Best Decks MT will live on for future generations.
Ashley Montgomery, Business Partner Wife and Best Friend 20 years Occupational Safety and Health, 2 Years Stay at home mom
Ashley supports Scott to do what he does best - build, create and problem solve (all things, he, in turn, does for the family). Her support includes (but is not limited to) project management, office administration, scheduling, sourcing, customer service and field support.
Ashley comes from a safety background with a concentration in Construction Safety, which she always brings to the Best Decks projects.
Her passions are learning and supporting her family to be the best human beings they can be.
